This. I will often feel or say I'm "broke" but really I just have money socked away I won't spend on petty BS I could wait to get(like mods). I also have a pretty substantial investment account working on making money so I can actually retire some day. It definitely takes the stress off to know that if something happens I've got a couple avenues to get myself out of trouble/survive.

speaking of...we had a meeting with our 401k fellow yesterday. they rolled into a new management company whatever back on Jan 1. Accounts have been in a 1% fixed interest fund since then. 1%. Now, granted...it's only been 3 months. but i easily might have lost $1mil.

    not really.

I'm pricing tires as well. Trying to decide what I want to go with and from where.

Don't take it for gospel, but I don't think you have to modify much for that tire size with a lift.

I'm gonna do it pre-lift. It sounds like I should just have to remove mud flaps and trim some of the fender well. Possibly a little trimming for my bumper, as well, but that's because my bumper is done fucked up. My driver side fender well has already been trimmed so that'll save a step right there!

Too poor to list anything interesting.
"Lawmakers in that state are set to vote Friday on a bill that would legalize accidentally running over protesters in the road, one of several new measures across the country that aim to discourage disruptive protests."

"It turned from a protest to basically terrorism on the roadways, and the bill got introduced for people to be able to drive down the roads without fear of running into somebody and having to be liable for them," he told CNN."

What is up with your bumper anyway? You've mentioned it a lot more lately.

Yeah some of my less responsible friends are like "Why are you always broke?" and then I try to explain responsibilities to people who have none and give up trying.

    ...orrrrr 33s.

I was in an accident like 3 years ago, right after I got the truck, and it just screwed up my front bumper the brackets are bent and shit. Eventually I'll get it replaced with a nicer one but I already get rub at full lock so I know it'll do the same thing with the 33s. I'm kinda thinking I'm just gonna cut the shit out of it to make it work for now.

The fender well had gotten bent in the accident, too, and rubbed a lot. I cut that shit off on the side of the freeway in eastern Washington one summer because it was so bad. So already trimmed!

You can see a little of the issue here.
