Just got a new exhaust put on by JBA and thought I'd share it with you guys. They used my truck for R&D but they said it should be available to buy in 2-3 weeks. Personal review of it: I like the looks of it, much nicer than stock, all stainless steel, with a nice JBA tip that sticks out a tad further than the stock exhaust. Actually sounds like a truck when you start it up, nice deep tone. Good deep sound when you step on the gas and can hardly hear it when just cruising. To me it is the loudest at about 3K RPMs under load, then it actually get quieter after that. As far as performance, the throttle response seems a quicker and the sound for sure makes you feel like you are driving faster lol but not sure if there is true HP gains. I will try to get a sound clip soon. And I also know that JBA will be coming out with a Y-pipe soon too, they are just waiting to get the right flange in.

If its a V6, headers aren't really possible. Did they do a CAT delete or something? Dyno before and after?

Good stuff. Can't wait to hear the sound clip. My trdpro exhaust is a tad too quiet for me. wanted something louder but not annoying.

No headers were done, just the cat back. Company name is just JBA Headers, well at least their website name is.

Also, your truck has two different sets of cats (4 total). The front two are immediately after the manifold, and the rear two are at the start of the Y-pipe. The rear two can be removed without issue or code being thrown as long as you plug the O2 sensors back into a set of bungs... as is the case with the URD Y-pipe and supposedly the Doug Thorny Y-pipe.

2nd gen members have reported the truck will still pass a emissions test with the rear two cats removed... But apparently will fail a visual test in California (I don't know much about this, as I'm not a hippie who lives in such a God awful place :boink:).

Issue is going to be when you pair a Y-pipe with the rear cats removed, with something like the above referenced power pipe (headers) which also removes the front set of cats.

I also live in a free state, but if anyone asks once I have the downtubes/ y pipe I'll just say the cats are cast into the cylinder head.
