Just replaced the OEM headlight assys in this Reg cab 2009, and the links from folks here were a big + in review before starting. I haven't yet tried to see if they are aimed correctly, or for that matter don't know how to evaluate "correct" anyhow, but going to look at it. If I need to make some adjustment, is there any process that has worked for the board ? I do need to get a book.....

It normally works best if you pull up to a wall and put tape on it prior to replacing the lights. Don't move the truck then install the new ones and simply adjust back to the tape. If you have already replaced them it is not that difficult. Adjust them where you can see okay and where they are not aimed to high where it blinds everyone. Aftermarket lights can be a pain but you can normally get them close. Make sure you have a long Phillips screwdriver.

No Philips Adj screws on these that I can see. ( not like my '56 Chevy anyhow) Looking at the removed and aftermarket lights, they look identical. I believe I found 2 Adj screws with large "star" washers under the rubber caps used for adjustment. Odd looking washers, I think are intended to be used as an incremental Adj reference. It's just not obvious to me yet which screw does Horizontal and which Vertical. I guess I'll figure it out, or might not even need work.........

The right size Phillips screwdriver will grab that funny looking washer and turn it. You will find a path for the screwdriver to follow and grab the teeth on the washer after they are installed.

    Not Enough.
You stick the phillips head under the "washer" and turn it. It acts like gears, if that helps clarify it. Bottom one is height, top one is side to side.

AHah! That does make sense, Thanks. Didn't understand what JJ was pointing out! Tearing up the old assy, I see that will work. On the left is the uncovered Adj screw, and on the right it still has the cover hiding it. I really do need to get the book. It the Haines book fairly good?image.jpg

Also they come out easy. Going back in is some sort of rubix cube so enjoy that. Take your time and be patient.
