Considering joining the fold with a 2010 Double cab Long bed TRD Sport

Been looking for a truck for a while now. Have looked into Frontiers, Canyons, Colorados, F150s and Tacomas.

I keep gravitating toward the Tacomas, especially the double cab long beds. I like the options with the TRD sport package as well.

I found a truck locally with around 85.5K miles, about $17K, very clean.

Questions to the combined knowledge of the forum:

    1) What kind of maintenance, aside from the routine fluid changes, would I expect in a truck with 85K miles?

    2) Would you look for something with less miles, or should I not worry about only 85K?

This forum actually helped me lean toward the Tacoma and I would appreciate if anyone has some insight to these questions.

I recently bought mine and discovered a valve gasket leak while changing the spark plugs at 50K miles. You'll spot it at the cylinder closest to the firewall on the driver side. If oil is covering the threads, that's most likely a valve cover gasket leak. It's an easy fix if you can do it yourself, but a good independent job can do it for not that much more. I would also change your PCV valve while your there.
