These trucks don't have distributors. They have individual coil packs connected at each spark plug.

There is no distributor. The 4.0 is coil on plug.

Mine has done that quite a few times. The times it has happened would be when I get back in the truck to start it and after I was sitting in it listeneing to music and drinking coffee before work. You know with the key on accessories. Another time is when I was hauling ass down i5 in a rain storm. Got home or where ever I was going and the next time I went to start it it would do the same thing. Freaked me out the first time it did it. Now I just raise an eyebrow at it. Maybe it had a fart in its brain. Idk:notsure:

My 4 cyl will get weird sometimes after crawling down long super steep slopes in 4L. By steep I don't mean paved streets, I'm talking about ~50% grades out in the mountains. It idles low and is sometimes hard to start for a little while (10mins?) after that. I've posted about it before and others reported the same thing. Never have figured it out, it doesn't affect anything really so I just ignore it. Possibly related?

Parked on level spot, 34 degrees with a half tank of gas - started right up

Note I did let the key at accessory for a few seconds listening to the sounds it makes
