Ill try dig up the research on this, and its not math its based on varying load testing and physical measurements.

Go read up on the technology and get back to us:) Im really not gonna explain it. What will do is try find the vids of the guys running all the load tests and Actual real world data comparisons. No spooky math, and generally Lithium ion batteries get rated in KWH i believe and not so much in Ah rating but for comparative sake it gets tossed around with it. I believe these tests I'm referring to was done with a .5 kWh battery

 im not gonna keep getting into this lol, i don't have the time to go into depth on this matter right now to tie it all together for you.

I do understand your view, and perspective, don't get me wrong. Ill find the load test data some time this up coming week.

Good catch, i didn't see that mistake lol, glad you caught it and no wonder i wasn't making sense. I have made a few errors in this Thread

#1 my original post i made i was referring to LFPs, i know i wrote LIPO but thats wrong. I had Lipo on the brain for other reasons.

#2 TYPO: i was not going to buy 2 AGM batteries, sub in LFP for AGM.

The article i posted was just a quick reference.

    thanks for catching those mistakes

Im currently just keeping my eye on a couple in the car audio scene amongst the big competitors. I can also source them from their build houses but its such a pain dealing with batteries and shipping.... and id need volume to ship by sea which is pretty much what id need to do with LFP's

Im still waiting for the pricing to drop a little. Ill keep my Xspower 3100/2700 for now

For me its not for SPL, its mostly the weight savings and specific attributes of the LFP battery, its rapid discharge and charging ability

Bring this back from the dead.

Here's my set-up. Two Trojan T-105‘s in a DIY carrier (waiting to be powdercoated). Zamp controller and 160watt panel. Now I just need my @Cascadia Tents RTT and I'm ready to go.

Why do you need a super fancy controller for a 13 amp panel? You do also realize that your max power will only be a high noon? I hope you have the T105 connected to the alternator also.

Nice set up. I have the same batteries hooked up to a 100w mono-crystaline panel, works great for my current needs. In partly cloudy weather in about 4 hours brougth the t-105's up to full charge (1.2 amps.). We were also using power during that time.

Nice man, I haven't used it yet actually camping but did hook it up in the driveway. I put a full load on it drained it down to 12v unplugged everything and it had a full charge in about 40 minutes. Pretty happy with it. Zamp Solar is a local company so I got a smoking deal on the set-up (controller and panel 239.00 OTD).
