Yeah a few people received damaged ones, no issues with mine.

I am assuming one of their cost savings methods regards shipping, it came in just a box, no additional packing material.

Yeti's patents expired, this allows for competition to enter the market and battle for the best price for product. Yeti had years to build its brand, now its time to remove the monopoly!

the only issue i had with either of my Rtics (65 & 45) is the 45 i bought has a noticeable dent in the top of the lid. I got it for the sale price, which was dirt cheap for this kind of cooler, and I called Rtic to find out what i could do regarding said defect and my options were A. return for full refund B. deal with the dent and we'll give you 15% of what you paid back..... I chose B because I can live with the dent (especially getting $ back because of it) and It really wasn't worth it to deal with shipping the SOB back. This cooler is about to have a really rough life, so within a year or so the dent will probably not even be noticeable.
On a side note..... I scored an ORCA 20qt/roadie size cooler from tractor supply for $80 marked down from over $200..... sweet little cooler too!

Random question for you all. My wife just surprised me with the small RTIC 20 for our anniversary but I have been looking for solid lock options for it for when keeping it in the back of my truck. How are you guys securing these?

Sorry dude, I hAve a 65, no experience with the 20.

The 65 has a spot to put a cable through where the handles are and that's how I secure it.

cable lock (like a bike lock) around the carry handle and secure it to one of the tie down sports in your bed

There is a slot on both sides where the lock bracket goes. It can't be removed from the cooler when the locking cable is on. Yeah you wouldn't hook it to the handle as that is easily removed.

With RTIC settlement they have changed their design... Lol slightly, but I guess its enough that it doesn't legally resemble a Yeti.
