How to fix a temperature gauge

I had to fix my 07 a couple of years ago. Basically you have a resistor that the solder comes loose on. Simply solder it back to fix the issue. These are TINY resistors. Mine fell out when I took the unit down and I couldn't find it. I bought a standard barrel resistor from an electronics store. Price was $.13, I gave the guy a dollar and thanked him for his help.

 

There's a guy on eBay that will fix it, beef it up so the roof heat won't screw it up again, and guarantee if for life for $25. Fixed mine 5+ years ago. Quick turnaround.

 

I fixed my last summer and it came undone again, had to refix, someone said to use a better solder which I did and its held up ever since.
