Wow. These lights are awesome. Very impressed! Highly recommended! For anyone running the TRD Pro foglights, they match up very well.

Has anyone had any electrical issues of any sort? I don't want to void any sort warranty on a 40k+ truck because of LED lights!

I know your post is close to a year old but I too am in the 3rd Gen and g8 club. Looking for an LED low beam for the Taco. The G8 has HID but I don't want ballasts, a harness, or bouncy lights.

I still never bit the bullet. I'd like to buy matching lows and fogs soon though. The bulbs in the g8 bother me but not enough to fuck around trying to deal with an exchange.

Im in the same boat on the taco, even these morimotos being the biggest badest led it doesn't appear that the throw is on par with the oem halogen. The close up brightness is superior but the throw is not. I think with projectors you are pretty much forced to use HID/halogen if throw is your primary concern.

As for the g8 I used HID with a relay kit since it uses the low beam as the DRL. Thinking about it now that is not the case with the taco so that simplifies the HID install. Anyway mounted my G8 HID ballast where I had space which I didn't pay attention to is directly where my procharger's red race bypass blows it's air. For some reason on hot days after running a few errands that HID ballast doesn't work very well lol

Living in the desert of California it gets extremely hot during the summer 100+ degrees. Have any of you guys had an issues with overheating?

I have killed 2 sets of non-morimoto fan cooled LED in Las vegas in under a yeAR on other vehicles. I think they all use sleeve bearing fans which are garbage. All it takes is a little desert sand grit = seized fan + summer heat = dead LED headlights. This is why I was looking for fanless but will most likely end up with HID low beams and fanless LED fogs and highs.

Thinking about it the 3rd Gen has DRLs separate from the low beam why are people using relay kits for HID low beams??

Really don't want to wire the HID relay. So my question is are the morimoto 2 strokes throw distance at the very least equal to the oem halogen if the answer is yes then I will most likely use them to avoid the additional wiring the HID will require.

anyone have issues with these as your High beams? I tried to install them today, neither would turn on, unplug them and install my halogens again, they work perfectly. install one halogen, one 2Stroke... nothing out of either.

Figured it out... the plug adapter I received wasn't working. but there was an extra portion with the HID's I pulled out and used. boom I have brights. I'll have to check them out tonight... initial impressions aren't great, but then again it's 1pm here, and shining against my garage door my 50w HID lows really make these look weak. If nothing else, they're not yellow like the stock halogen.
