You can have one too, but but first you must suffer and then suffer some more....
Not being properly acclimated to the altitude was brutal/crazy:der: Also, being from the Dallas Fort Worth area there are not any climbs to practice on. We just trained riding 100 plus milers on the road. It was all worth it but that bucket list is checked!

I have ridden CO a bunch. I have done a few passes (kenosha and Georgia). But yeah, that is a brutal ride. Well done.

I did basically the same thing but with a Thule rack and the KB VOODOO rack
    kbvoodoo rack http://www.kbvoodoo.com/shop/toyota...-use-with-tonneau-covers-fits-years-2005-2016
Then a generic basket with a couple of thule racks mounted on the sides.. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B019RNQHLQ/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I used 1/4-20 stainless hardware with 3 bolts up front drilled and mounted into the front rack parts.. totally solid and works great :)

You don't happen to have a close up of the fork mount on the bed rail by chance?

I can't get my forks close to the fork mount when mounted on rail because of interference with the tonneau cover assembly and I'm curious how you overcame that.

And bikes, because staying on topic!

Cool bikes! Here's a close up pic. They are rockymounts drive shaft HM's. They are great! come with a few adapters even a qr axle for standard forks, and they lock. They came with all the hardware to mount them too. You just need the header rail since our 3rd gens didn't come with one..
If that mount won't work for you check out rockymounts.com they have alot of options.

    Thanks!

Appreciate the picture I'll definitely check out the Rockymounts, I have a Swagman in there now and it looks like the RMs are a lot further back off the rail. The lock is a plus, too. Could be just the ticket!

    Cheers

Bike fits perfectly across the bed with the stock tonneau in place.

first day shuttling with the Taco...

    IMG_0414.jpg

paint protection film on the tailgate and raceface pad worked a treat - daily-drive with it low enough to use the backup camera and slide it up and over the tailgate for shuttle runs! Braap

They work great.. Totally solid.. I have even put a board in my basket so it would hold my chair at a couple of events. I like the fork mount racks as I can still drive into my garage with the bike on the rack even though it is an extra step to put the wheel on and off.. but really if taking a wheel off is that hard you might find riding a bike a bit too taxing haha :)

I did almost the same thing. I mounted a generic rack as well. I also have Yakima rails and fork mounts but decided not to install them for now. Since my mtn. bike has a thru axle, its easier to load the whole bike with the current set up. I also used stainless steel carriage bolts and nuts.
