Bought a 97 tacoma-has a spacer lift on the front-with bolt type spacers in the spring as well, rediculously high leaf springs in the back. I want to return it to stock height. The previous owner said he did not torch or modify anything. I bought struts fircthevfron with new Springs. Will I need more factory parts for the front end? And, I know I will need re-alignment , but I will still need to drive it to the tire shop. Can someone give me some info on how bad the alignment will be? It will keep its 15 inch rims

The alignment shouldn't be bad enough to keep you from driving to the shop, if that's what you're asking.

As for the rest, pictures of the current suspension components would be best. Help us help you.
Multiple types of spacers. If it's "ridiculously high," is it a drop-bracket lift a well?

IMG_0747.jpg I may have questions about replacing the leaf spring when I get to that, like, which should be done first? The leaf springs or the struts

Hard to tell with the dirt/angle, but that may be the OEM spring/shock? Can't see the lower suspension.
Looks like just a top-out spacer for lift, so if the shocks/springs are in good shape you can unbolt and remove the spacer and just remount the struts back into the tower.

While you're in there playing around, be sure to check the lower and upper ball joints for any damage, leaks or play, along with the TRE's.

Ideally, you should be doing both at the same time, otherwise you're gonna be front-high or back-high, which isn't great for handling/safety.

youl need factory height rear leafs (i garentee you can just trade those leafs for some good stockers. probably plus some cash) AND rear shocks. You do both front and rear at same time or alignment will be off. Your gona need to do some trimming on the front to clear those tire more than likely too.

    What reason for removing lift?

I bought brand new struts with the Springs on them, new shocks , and stock leaf Springs . The ball joints are brand new, except one sway bar link is broken so I'm going to replace both sway bar linksIMG_0749.jpg

Was literally just typing the u-bolts remark.

You'd should be good to go. Springs and shocks front/rear, addressing the tires and an alignment, and you'll be done.

    Lotsa shit.
I have seen people put the leafs under the axle before, idk if that works on a taco but it might be worth looking into.
edit: did not see you bought all new stuff sorry.

Thank you people. I usually refer to the manual or to YouTube, this one is hard to find information on. The new u bolts will be key. When it comes time to plan the logistics, I may have more questions. Thanks Again
