I'm apparently bringing this thread back from the dead.

I had the SmittyBilt's in my Fronty, and they were pretty good. I don't remember how long they lasted, but it wasn't some short term thing. I'm temped to get them again for the Taco to see how they are. I liked the storage options. If I get them, I'll post some pics of. Anyone have them already?

    Cheers

What year Tacoma you have? If its like an 09+ model then don't get them cause they are not meant for side airbags.

Not sure about the "tactical"/molle seat covers per say, but I have black CoverKing rear cordura/"ballistic" covers that I am guessing are the exact same material, minus any molle. I'm pretty sure there is a thread on here with someones pics of the Tactical version on a 2nd row though.

EDIT: nvm I found the thread but the pics are dead

    Check out Blue Ridge Overland:
    http://www.blueridgeoverlandgear.com/MOLLE-Seat-Back-Panel-COY-p/21msb14-coy.htm

They have a panel that fits on the back of the seat and secures to the headrest posts and buckles under the seatback. This leaves the side airbags exposed. A buddy has them on his AC and they are actually surprisingly held on there pretty well. When I first saw the panel, it looked like it would be loose and your gear would bounce around, but its good!

    This was the thread: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/coverking-seat-covers-installed.210530/

I bought mine off eBay, from what I guess was a wholesaler of auto accessories. The seller sometimes gets random Tacoma seat covers in stock for low prices, and of course no wait to have them made up for your order either. I'd give the covers a 7.5/10. I really dig cordura, but at least for the ballistic type, the cordura is slippery as hell. I know what cordura is, and this stuff is almost like something a little different (maybe the "Tactical" version is different?). Then again they might be some sort of 1000D nylon/cordura hybrid or something, I can't remember what CoverKing says they are made of.

I can't say too much else about them, no one hardly ever rides in my back seat, but so far, throwing items and all sorts of crap back there, no issues with fraying or durability. I really just wanted black seat covers for a low price, and I'd say these have accomplished the job. My only beef is the little holes at the top that should slip over the headrest plastic pieces where the headrest legs go, is too dang small...no way I can slip that over the plastic piece to tuck it under without tearing/ripping the precut hole. Not sure if I got a quality control reject, or what. Also the material for the rear seat where the 40/60 sections come together is actually some sort of neoprene-ish stuff to minimize friction I suppose, but to be honest as slick as the main cover material is, they could have nixed that and made for a better seat cover.

Bottomline: I got them cheap and fast and in the color I wanted, and for my purposes accomplish the job. For what it's worth I have Wet Okoles for my front seats (also found on eBay in NEW condition)
