Electrical issues

I just picked up a 2017 tacoma. I've noticed 2 weird things: the radio got stuck in the "on" position but would not respond to any controls. I shut the truck off and restarted then the problem went away. Then last night the done lights didn't come on when I opened the doors. I checked the switch and it was in the door position. I closed the door, opened it again and the light came on.

My concern is that I have a gremlin living in my new truck.

Anyone have strange electrical issues with their tacoma?

 

Is your truck 100% stock?

If yes: take it back to the dealership and have them check it. Explain what happened and how it happened and try to make it happen again.

If no: undo whatever you did and see if it goes away.

 

I would be taking that thing right back to the dealer. I never had that issue with mine, just the normal Bluetooth b.s.

 

My radio froze twice in a year and a half. I figured that the radios now are like a computer and sometimes freeze.
As far as the dome light. Was your truck parked outside and was it cold out? The door switch may have been cold and sticking a bit. Not the switch to turn on the lights in the truck but the one on the door when you open it.

The radio is a computer.... sometimes computers get froze up and need rebooting.
