Are you talking about attaching an aftermarket rack to the OEM rack when it's closed?

I've seen others do it and don't really understand why not just use the factory bars opened. Seems redundant

It's the Thule Crossroad or Yakima's Timberline foot packs that fit them.

No I will use the cross bars open but need to attach my old roof basket from an old suv and its to small so I was looking for rails that would run front to rear attaching to the open OEM cross bars. Giving me something to attach the basket to....

I see what you mean now. The spread between the factory bars is too long for your basket. That pic above is probably your only solution if you want to keep your factory rack. The pic above (not my truck, just found the pic) looks like the Yakima timberline feet. https://www.yakima.com/timberline-towers-4-pack. Designed to attach to cars that have raised factory rails. My wife has the Thule version on her Bimmer wagon. You'll need to get Yakima crossbars too. It may be cheaper to just get a bigger basket though

Here's a couple I found that are still using just the factory rack with longer baskets

Is this as strong as using a whole Yakima system, or are you still stuck with a 100 pound weight limit?

My kayak probably weighs over 100 lbs.
