Placed an order for the flip kit, AAL pack and diff drop from toytec, totally forgot to check off their option for Energy Suspension's 2.5" bump stops, I called and added the item to my order but when it arrived there was none to be seen. Not wanting to pay shipping plus the taxes and duties I enjoy as a Canadian, I opted to use my factory stops until I win the lotto and buy hydro stops. This is my first post to TW and I am also a new taco owner so don't judge my "craftsmanship".

Using an angle grinder I cut 4 pieces of angle bar that already had holes in it, then drilled out the holes to accommodate the bolts. Using the bars to hold down the bumpstop I simply tightened the washer and nut down on top. There is more than enough pressure being applied to the bump stop so I have no concerns of it falling off during offroad action.

This is a cheap alternative to buying aftermarket stops with your U-bolt flip kit.

Another point I would like to add is talking to toytec and other forum members I was convinced that a 1" block I had from the previous owner's lift would not fit when combined with the add a leaf and flip kit. This is simply not the case, I had more than enough thread room on the 7 ¾" bolts to fit a 1" block, Toytec Progressive 3 Leaf Add A Leaf Pack and their Ubolt Flip Kit. Giving my 3.5" of lift in the rear.

Any idea how much that stock bumpstop compresses when under a load? Want to make sure it doesn't compress so much that the U-bolts hit, before the bumpstop bottoms out.

stock bumpstops are hard as a rock, i doubt they compress more than 3/4in after all 4 tires of the truck are 2 ft off the ground.

If I did not include the 1" block, the u-bolts being struck by the frame would have been a concern. With the added 3.5" of lift I have 2"-2.5" inches of bump stop over and above the top of the bolts.
