ya i definetly installed them wrong first. ya just drill em out n switch the left to right. i used hardware from home depot both times. you can also get a cap washer and a plastic cap that snaps over it from there. i also dabbed black silicone over the bolt heads to kinda help from rust. and while we're on the topic, if you end up re doing it yourself you can customize your inside. i added a cloths hanger hung by o bracket things, and 6 eye hooks to hang a cargo net. all attatched with same hardware as roof rack tracks. i just picked up a berkley twist lock fishing rod holder to mount up there. totally customizable if you mount your own tracks, just plan it good cuz once that water sealant starts drying its a nightmare.

Did you add the track for the hi-lift mount? Where did you get the mounts from? Thanks.

 

What type of racks did you go with? I am thinking of adding Thule "feet" and crossbars in the existing tracks on my A.R.E. Z Series shell, but not sure exactly which Thule components I need to order.

What are the specific product names (or numbers) of the thule products you used?

 

I'll have to look it up - the tracks were installed by LEER, the rest were probably put on by the dealer I bought it from.

 

Those overlands are growing on me.

I just bought some 2" wide flat stock steel from home depot, did some quick measurements and drew the bend on a piece of paper and bent it to match, then drilled holes, painted, and found enough bolts and washers in my work van to make it work. I'll likely be modifying it to go on the side rails once I get started on a platform. Need all the space I can get for sleeping in a shortbed!

 

Thanks. How about the track? It looks like the same one on the sides. Mine did not come with one under the window.

66134-04010 is the part number for the plastic end caps for the rail, they're not necessary just make it look like a cleaner install. The rail bolts on with the existing 5 torx head bolts at the front of the bed.
