Anyone do a paint correction on their vehicle not too long after they got it? Mine has so many swirls from when the dealership did their half a** washes. The shop I went to said they charge $189. Think it's worth it? I'm just OCD

For very light stuff IMHO better to put that money towards the tools/learning to do it yourself. Lots of info in the Detailing forum and also over at autogeek.net

You are OCD and own a black truck....!! You will be driven crazy if you are not careful..

I agree...invest in the proper equipment and save the $..... If you are truly OCD, you won't like what they do anyway, right..??

Do it yourself...then only YOU to blame...!! Black truck = lots of paint work...!! Good luck.:fingerscrossed:

I had mine done right after I got it and then had the entire truck wrapped in Xpel Ultimate. Wasn't cheap, but you won't worry about swirls, rock chips or bugs etc. I have a black truck too and it is incredibly easy to clean now. If you can afford it I highly recommend it.

$189 sounds too cheap for paint correction. Best to join autogeek and learn how to do everything on your own or find a reputable detailer in your area thru that forum.

But if you want recommendations on what to buy lmk. But you'll be spending at least a couple hundred.

I've sworn an oath to myself to never ever buy another black vehicle. Ever. Huge mistake, especially when said vehicle gets taken offroad.
