SDHQ presents an easy way to mount a winch on your 2016+ Tacoma while maintaining the stock front bumper. Slight modification and trimming to the stock bumper plastic is required to allow access to the winch line and fairlead. Our winch mount is CAD designed for precise fit and is constructed out of 1/4" thick mild steel. Precision bent and mig welded for strength and durability. After initial construction, the winch mount is powder coated matte black for a nice, long lasting finish that will withstand anything you can throw at it!

The SDHQ winch mount has been designed to fit the Warn Zeon 10 Platinum series of winches with wireless controller. Other winches that are similar in size with the same bolt pattern may fit but are in no way guaranteed to fit by SDHQ or its distributors. We at SDHQ recommend the Zeon Platinum series winches because they have a wireless controller which allows full functionality of the winch. Winches with a manual clutch will not have the ability to "free-spool" unless a device is built to access the winch's clutch release.

Relocating the winch control box on the Zeon series is necessary due to clearance issues. We have optional kit that includes all the wiring and hardware needed to relocate the Zeon series control box. Relocating the control box is possible without our kit; however, the end user will need to source their own wires and hardware.

    Key Features

    • No Drilling Required
    • Bolts Directly into frame and adds support to Bumper/Frame Horns
    • ¼” Thick Steel Plate Construction for Durability
    • Designed specifically for the Warn Zeon 10-S Platinum with Wireless Control
    • Optional Control Box Relocation Kit
    • Integrated D-Ring Mounts

The reason we use the Warn Zeon Platinum is because it is a wireless winch. Our mount being as compact as it is, doesn't allow you to get your hands in to manually disengage the clutch or be able to get a remote in to plug into the winch.

Other winches may fit, but I cannot guarantee any fitment with other brands.

does it allow for the stock TRD Pro skid plate or does it have to be modified?

This will work with the stock TRD pro skid plate. This unit replaces the crash bar behind the factory bumper.

I used a smittybilt X20 10k lb winch on my mount and it fits fine. The clutch handle is a pain to reach and I had to modify the control box mounting plate as well to work. But at the end of the day it's a bad ass winch mount that works and fits great!

just ordered mine... will also be trying to run with a smittybilt x20 to save some loot.

@Metallikatz3 was it a big PITA to make your modifications or was it really just drilling some new holes and creating your own template for the fairlead? I also am considering trying to devise a way to fab up some sort of clutch arm linkage that is easier accessible.

Nah, it wasn't a big pain at all. I had to drill some new holes in the control box plate to screw in to the Smittybilt control box. The hardest part was measuring well enough to only drill once :D

I'd say 30 to 40 lbs if I had to guess.

I think shipping weight was 56 lbs (a lot of packing material) so I'd concur that its right around 40lbs

Definitely the most well thought out, engineered and executed mount from my research as well. The integrated recovery points are awesome!
