So this morning I had a minor fender bender with a curb. Damn thing jumped out in front of me. Destroyed a rim and a tire... Needed new tires anyway, no suspension damage or body damage. I was amazed!

My father-in-law had a spare set of 2003 civic alloys laying around and I didn't want to say no to Something FREE... So my question is (because I know nothing about lifting or lowering a small vehicle)

Can I put lift spacers in my civic to increase clearance between the fenders and tires? See the picture----

Please excuse the stupid question I just can't find anything on lift spacers not do I have the knowledge to do this based on internet research done by myself... That's where you guys come in. So please help :D

How would it wear tires more? It's just a spring spacer I'm looking for. Maybe a one inch lift at the most

Honestly, the proper way to do it would be getting springs from these guys http://www.coilsprings.com/default.aspx and then slap them on some decent struts/shocks and roll. you'll definitely need an alignment when you do either option and depending on the suspension setup you might need adjustable camber arms/plates to get the camber back in spec.

    LS1 swap with nitros.
Just put some of the spring spacers in that ship with the car when new. They are removed at PDI. Lessen the amount of travel the suspension has. This is an S2000.

Where might I acquire those? There are many junk yards in my area. And I believe a couple s2000's around as parts cars
