I'm close to pulling the trigger on my dream truck. Details are as follows on the current offer:

2017 TRD Off Road DC Long Bed in Titanium silver - $35,315
    Premium & Tech Package - $2,330
    Tonneau Cover - $650
    Tow Package - $650
    Bed Step - $300
    Wheel Locks - $80
    Delivery Processing & Handling - $960
    Total MSRP - $40,285

    Discount - $3,996

    Price after discount - $36,289
    Admin fee - $395
    Registration Fee - $132.50
    MA Sales tax - booo!

Is the above a good deal? It seems like it is to me, but curious what others think.

Here's where I have some other "wants" I'd like to include or get really cheap that I see on their site but haven't asked about are:

    1. All weather floor mats - $139. Are the Toyota ones good or should I just get weather tech?
    2. Bed Mat - $120
    3. Cast Aluminum running boards - $795! I have little kids, so I sort of need these. These seem crazy expensive to me, but I like the style. Worth it?
    4. TRD 16-In. Off-Road Beadlock-Style Alloy Wheels Black @ $1,036. This is my big question - should I see if they can swap the stock rims for these? Or would I be better off trying to sell my stock rims & tires and just buy these later? I plan to eventually lift it & put on 33's
    Thanks!
    Tim

Are you getting it in 4x4? If not, that price seems a bit high. I got basically your exact same setup with 4x4 for like $200 more than what you're noting...

To be fair, I got the DCSB, but the price difference is nominal

    With regard to your wants...
    1. I know a lot of guys swap the Toyota ones out for weather tech or Huskies. I have weather tech and love them.
    2. Get it. Simple as that. Toyota should be able to throw one on for you pretty easily
    3. I'd wait. If you're planning on upgrading in the future anyway, it's not worth the money now. They WILL be able to swap stock wheels without issue, but you might wind up paying twice. If you're set on the beadlocks, go for it (I like them too). If you're still looking, a lot of guys highly recommend the Stealth Custom Series. They're sexy as hell and my choice for upgrades once warranty expires.

I basically have the same truck minus the tech package and step.
I also have the 5" oval tube steps (for spouse) in black and think they look
great in a silver truck. They ride high and is OK for wife but unuseable for me.
Note on the Toyota bed mat.... It has a strong rubber odor that Is worse under
the tonneau because the bed is somewhat sealed. You may want to look at
one first and get a smell. I think Weatherteck advertises 'odorless'. Check....
I also have all weather mats and prefer them over carpet due to the ability to
clean. Water doesn't sink in also
Note also that the tonneau is a little on the heavy side. I haven't tried to remove
yet but think I would ask a neighbor for help. I'm 6' and 200 lbs. my understanding
is that it is best to order this from the factory also.

Price is great for this model if you got a 4000 discount. I didn't do so good.
4x4 DCOR long bed in silver looks great.

I've got the cast aluminum running boards and they are fantastic. You can negotiate them much cheaper - I think I paid $650 for mine.

I think they will look great also.
By the way....the Toyota tonneau is well built and it seems to seal
pretty good but as with all trifolds it will leak a little. Get a 6'x8'
tarp and throw in the back in case

    Forgot to mention.
The console is a little small.
SaLex makes a organizer and a separate tray in plastic specifically
    for the Tacoma.
I got the tray for odds and ends such as change, glasses and other
small stuff. I didn't get the organizer and glad of it.
Can buy on Amazon for I think $10-12.

Nice truck!!!! I haven't been this excited in a while. Literally been dreaming of owning a Tacoma for the last 4 years and drove through my local dealership lot at least twice a month. I didn't mention this, but my first "real" vehicle out of college was a 98 SR5 tacoma 4 banger in black with an extended cab in manual. Man do I miss that truck!

I ended up getting the TRD rims, bed mat and side steps. The wanted $2,359 but I got them down to $1,500. They're going to install the side steps for me and I'll just take the rims home and mount them on 33's. I hopefully pick up the truck tomorrow and will post pics when I do!
