It's getting worse already this year. We want to try new water when we kayak often as possible. He can never be ready before 10AM, ever! We want to fish too, fish don't bite in 100°, we want to leave at 8 or earlier. He never gives us a good reason either. I guess he can't run errands during the week like the rest of us?
We aren't waiting for him this year. If we want to see water an hour or so away, we leave when the group is ready, not waiting for 1 person any more.

It's been a few years since I was a newly wed, but, my wife and I have always had enough trust that we don't read anything into her having male friends or me having female friends. It's all about being secure with yourself. I think that comes with a persons age rather than years of marriage. I know how she feels about me and she knows how I feel about her.
