I need to ship the ones I buy here up to you to sell, lol.

 

There is a greasy squirrelly salesman down the street who sells absolutely trashed tacomas that he thinks are in "wonderful" condition for $7000-$10000...we are talking rusted out holes in frame door handle broken off pieces of junk...and he sells them! I've been approached in parking lots and other places about my truck, guess i didn't realize there was anything special about a clean frame 1st gen until I moved from GA to NY!

 

I buy'em for cheap. Like I mentioned I bought this good running & driving 04 TRD 4x4 with 2 small rusted areas on the passenger frame rail for $600 from a fellow TW member. I buy a lot of 3rd Gen 4runners too. I just sold a nice solid running & driving one to a member here last week for cheap. And I recently bought 2 diff locked FZJ landcruisers, the stock one for $1400 & the lifted one for $1700. I bought the lifted one from another member here. And my other 04 TRD with a seized 3.4 for $500. I find'em cheap.

 

I used to be in the market for cheap trucks that I could fix. Was thinking about getting back into it. But time and mostly money have taken that out of the picture for a while. I think if I do get back into it it will be with a 4Runner as they are usually a lot cheaper than tacomas, although I think a land cruiser would be a fun project.

 

I'm a auto tech and known in the area as the guy that buys 4x4 Yotas that need work. So a lot of them find me. 4runners are fun, I have a lifted 2000 and a stock low mile 02 but nothing beats a solid axle diff locked LC. The green one I also sold recently, I bought it to flip. The silver one is my 02 that I bought for $5800 with only 87k miles and this runner is clean, top to bottom. That's the most I ever paid for any yota. The black one I bought bone stock as a project also, it was a southern truck like yours. Its been my daily and weekend trail/camping rig for many years. As you can see I have a serious addiction lol.
