I absolutely love my 2017 SR 4x4 utility package. It is perfect for me and no complaints yet. Except for the stock tires that leave something to be desired. They just didn't fill up the wheel well like I would prefer. I have scoured forums and google looking for pictures to compare set ups for different sized tires on stock suspension and wheels. So I wanted to post before and after pics for anyone searching for this info. I pulled the plug to get rid of the stock 245/75 r16 Hankooks. I decided to go with a set of 265/75 r16 Falken Wildpeak at3/w.

It was a rainy spring day before I got them on so the before pics are a tad different. It's pretty easy to tell though how much more wheel well these tires fill up. They are just aggressive enough for my needs and seem pretty quiet on the highway. The sidewall looks nice too with the raised black letters.

All in all I'm pretty impressed and I got a decent deal on these tires. Eventually I would love to go with 5100's all around with some aftermarket rims and a little bigger tire but for now this suits me. Going to have to derp these stock steelies as soon as the weather breaks though.

Thanks. I really like it too. It does make a good bit of difference by just switching out the tires

Them some beefy-looking tires! Just wondering...did your speedometer accuracy change with the new tires?

Since my truck came stock with 245/75 this tire is bigger and I would assume since the radius is different it changes the speedometer. This website was a handy tool to not only compare tire sizes but gives the changes in the speedometer. So it only changes about a mile an hour for every 30 mph. If my speedo says 30 I'm really going 31 and if it says 60 I'm really going 62 and so on. Not too drastic of a change and definitely worth it to get in a much better tire.

Thanks for posting the pics! I have this same truck and have been thinking about going to that size tire and perhaps the Falkens. Have you noticed any rubbing? How about highway noise and gas mileage?

No problem! I couldn't find pics of this set up before I did this so I wanted to get the info out to anyone else interested. No rubbing whatsoever and I've tried hitting inclines, driveways etc, at full turn and I haven't gotten anything to rub yet. There is no noticeable hum at highway speed. They are far more quiet than I expected for the tread pattern. I'm sure there will be a slight loss in mpg but I haven't measured it yet. Adding weight and turning a larger radius tire will almost certainly lead to a drop in mpg. But I suspect the difference will be slight and well worth it compared to the appearance benefit as well as a more capable all terrain tire.
