Taco Fan 1st Post

Ok well I guess I am suppose to introduce myself here so here it goes. My name is John and I am originally from the Poconos in Pennsylvania. I am 30 years old and the proud owner of a 2005 Toyota Tacoma Double-Cab SR5 Pre-Runner. I am a Technical Sergeant in the United States Air Force stationed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton Ohio. I am married with a 1 year old son and I have an 8 yr old daughter from a previous marriage. This is my 2nd Tacoma as the first one (1998 Toyota Tacoma, single cab, 2wd, 4-cyl,5-spd) was recalled by Toyota for a rotted frame. Even with a severe recall such as a rotted frame it didnt keep me from buying another one. Toyota did me right with the buyback so I dont have any question as to how stable the company is. I love my Tacoma more than words can describe. I purchased it used from the first owner in Dec, 2008 with 38,500 mi on it. The original owner had leased it and was suprized when the balloon payment came due so instead of paying it off he opted to sell it. I purchased the truck for $17,900 + tax which at the time was still under blue book according to several pricing guides. I havent really done much to the truck since I bought it with the exception of a complete stereo upgrade and I am now running Amsoil fully synthetic oil along with their filter. I am very happy with the truck and would buy another one in a heartbeat no matter how many recalls Toyota puts out.
