    Hello!

Speaking up from Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Just purchased my first ever Tacoma (finally). I've always wanted one but they hold their value so well that up until recently, I couldn't get my hands on one (mainly because I don't do financing). I finally got my *expletive* together and saved up enough to pick one up.

    I picked up a white 2002 Tacoma SR5 extended cab, automatic w/ the 3.4 V6.

So far.. I LOVE IT and I can't seem to stop writing down (bookmarking) things that I want to get done. It's going to be a daily driver / over-land type truck. No serious lifting as of right now. Just keeping it dependable on/off road.

Now that the intro is out of the way; I'll head back to searching the forums! Gotta find that wheel & tire combination; along with a place to have some sliders welded on. I'm already itching to get this thing into the Colorado tree line.

I feel like that ("Say Bye-Bye to your wallet") may be an accurate statement.

I've done spent the last 4 hours eye-balling upgrades.

There's something wrong with me. HaHA!

I think I'd like to take it off road as it sits to see what's it can do. There are plenty of "get-to-know-the-truck" trails in Colorado Springs.

You are on the right track. These trucks rock as overland/ daily drivers. Still, watch your wallet.

    Welcome from Michigan

    Welcome to TW.

What kinda mileage does it have? Has it lived its life near your home since birth?

    Thanks!

It has just shy of 140k. I haven't run any kind of history search against the VIN but I believe it has always been a Colorado truck.

The previous owner was serious about maintenance and provided a stack of service records from two local service shops. One being a Toyota dealership and the other being a Toyota specialist. The records go all the way back to around 50k miles.

The truck runs and drives awesome! The suspension does give quite a bit more feedback from the road than I'm used to, but otherwise I freaking LOVE this truck.

It runs so strong that I am strongly considering the Magnuson SC (with 7th injector kit) from URD. Researching this forums tells me that the 3.4 was engineered to take a whoop'n.

I am not sure if I'll start with any lift kits. I will probably choose a slightly larger tire size (265.75.16) and upgrade to black wheels, since the factory ones are now oxidized something terrible.
