Hey all, im looking at getting a new roof rack for the taco, ive basically narrowed it down to a couple.
Im looking at the slimline 2 with expedition rails. As well as the prinsu.
Im looking for the lowest profile, and something thats not gonna sing and vibrate!
Any insight on these racks would be great.

Can you elaborate on what you are looking for? Weight capacity, usage, etc.

Are you looking at cross bar options or just "rack/trays", do you want something that can be detatched easily or full time bolt on?

Big difference between adding an RTT or spare tire storage with gas cans vs occasional kayak, cargo box, or lumber.

The plan is to mount some lights and use it for storage, camp gear maxtrac etc. No rtt anytime soon. Maybe spare tire carrier. I would like something that can support a good amount of weight if needed. Incase i go rtt in the way future etc.
Just cross bars but i would like to get some side rails to keep things tucked in strapped etc

I have Rhino Rack cross bars because that suites my needs, but sounds like Prinsu rack would be your best bet and they look slick.

Any rack is going to give you wind noise. Mine with a single row light bar I have wind noise but after having it on for a few months I dont even notice it anymore. Its just part of the truck now.

Wind noise I can best describe it as if you had a sun roof open 2 inches.

    My vote is Prinsu

    Prinsu FTW.
Get the weather stripping he sells helps the noise. Even though the noise is not bad at all.

After comparing the 2 myself, I think I'm going with the Prinsu, not only cheaper, but looks better aesthetically.

I know it comes down to price for alot of people, so if both racks were the same amount of money which would you get?

Does anyone have a sunroof? What's it like with a sunroof?

Gobi makes one that has a removable piece for the sunroof but $$$.

Not that I use my sunroof all the time but it is nice once and awhile.

    I still say Prinsu.

Looks better, more adjustable, there is a multitude of things that can be done with the 80/20 it is made out of and ontop of all that it supports a small business owning American.
