So as I'm finishing up the second truck bed trailer ive made so far im wondering why They're so rare to find on the road any more. Ive seen a few out there but kinda want to see pictures of ones you guys have built and if you have did you register it and take it on the road?

Also if any of you have a junk pick up truck you cant really drive anymore but dont wanna get rid of this is the perfect way to keep it in service.

Heres what i built so farimage.jpg image.jpgimage.jpg image.jpgLets see how yours turned out

Dumb. All I need is the bed and I can get a frame built though. I want the bed with the tracks in tact since there are so many accessories that vendors on here make.

i see their purpose but for a grand you can get a new 6x12. Me personally wouldnt be caught pulling one.

Its more so about the pride of building your own stuff i guess. Plus if you build em right they tow way better than any bought trailer ive had. And to the guy trying to find the tacoma bed have you tried the steel yards that normally just crush em up or shred em? We dont normally get tacomas or tundras where i work but you may get lucky. There was an older nissan the other day but it was so rusted you woulda had to spend a month or so just repairing rust damage if you ever wanted to use anything on it. If you cant find any that way maybe try copart car auctions. Thats where i got the s-10. I was the only bidder on that at $125. But after it was all said and done $400 plus gas to get it. But half of it got scraped and some parts are about to go to a core buyer.

One reason you do not see as many as you used to is because the DOT is cracking down on them when they can. We all know everybody's welding is not the same.
