Has any one installed the Deaver add a leaf and left the overload out would this compromise
the leaf in any way? I got more lift than I wanted and the ride was not ideal . Would leaving the over load out affect ride in any way I'm thinking less contact on the overload leaf might soften it up a bit? the 3 leaf pack here in Canada is $300 and change this sounds like the better option if I didn't already have the single leaf.

The overload doesn't affect the ride at all as far as I know. It's just there to keep your springs from bending over backwards when you've got a heavy load in the rear. If you remove it, it'll drop the rear end the thickness of the overload, which is about 1/2". If you never haul heavy loads, you could remove it and be fine, but your ride will be the same.
