Getting metal for bumper fab!

Hey guys I want to get my foot in the door to start building a front bumper, butttttttt I need some steel, I want preferably 1/8 or 3/16 and is there things like appliances or something i can get these size sheets in. (i saw a guy on here build one from a steel box that came from a stove) anyways where else could I find some steel to start this build going! Any ideas would be very much appreciated! Im from humboldt county by the way!

 

Google some metal suppliers in your area, go visit the places, talk to people who work with metal see where they get their material.

Check local fab shops and distributers. I'm a purchasing agent at one, I dont mind selling to the public but its a pain in the ass to do with our accounting system.

Usually if they do not have the metal you need in stock they can have it delivered the next day by multiple distrubuters. Atleast we can

 

When I built mine, I bought a whole sheet from a metal Supply place (4x8) for 140ish? And it was enough to do both bumpers.

Os this going to be a tube or plate bumper? Being a 2010 Tacoma I'm guessing plate... do your research most plate bumpers I've seen are 3/16 with 1/4 supports to frame
