Powder coat front grille?

    It blows my mind how expensive grilles are. I just bought a new quicksand taco. Is it a thing to powder coat or line x my current chrome grille to save money? I plan on getting black trd pro wheels and black Rock sliders and I think it would look pretty sweet but I don't know if it would be a mistake trying to save a couple hundred or if it would look good and not chip and what not... Any advice?

    Pretty sure you can't powder coat the chrome grille due to the fact you have to bake anything that's been powder coated and that grille is basically plastic. There's a thread that started a while ago on it.

    60 bucks and a couple hours make such a difference though

    I'd love to see someone powder coat the grille, would love to see how it looks after being blasted by media and then cooked in an oven to cure the powder
