    Please...help me!

My brand new Tacoma is stuck in park and cannot mouve!

    It's a 2009 Tacoma crew cab 4x4 with 3000km on it.

The dash show ''''ABS '' and the display of slippy road(pictogram of truck and 2 big ''SS'')

The engine start normally but the transmission cannot mouve from park!

It was running fine ,my employee park it in front of the customer house and when he want to quit , the transmission blocked!

    Thank's!

You do have your foot on the brake when attempting to take the truck out of park, right?

If so, try what tc2008 said.

yea the little plastic cap to the left of the shifter pry it up and there is a button at the bottom and it will allow u to put it in gear. sometimes a dead light bulb will trigger this to happen.

Wanted to thank everyone for their posts. I had a problem where my truck would not go into park after a snowstorm in 4x4. Read this thread. Held that button down and it went into park. Thanks again for the knowledge.

    +1 check your fuses.

In my '97 4runner after about 2.5 hr drive towing trailer, pulled past a ranch gate, put in park, then got out to close gate behind me. Got back in, but couldn't shift from park. After *much* head scratching, my friend suggested checking fuses - sure enough the fuse for brake light was burned (due to faulty trailer wiring)! Apparently this is a safety feature they don't tell you about in the manual

    Thanks guys.

I was trying to wire the brake light for my cap. Even after I disconnected everything it was still stuck. However once I hit that release the ABS and traction light went out and it was fine.

Now to figure out how to wire that light!

Thanks to all with the remedy for "stuck in park" and associated warning lights. I immediately knew the trailer light culprit causing the problem and quickly corrected that. With the fuse replacement I'm back in normal business. You're a great help!

This just oddly enough happened to me today. My truck would start but I couldn't shift out of park. And also my SRS light was on. I was pulling a trailer and I ended up hitting a rainstorm. I'm assuming some of the trailer wiring shorted something out with in my truck because the one of the ignition fuse (10amp) blew two different times. I'm not exactly sure why but this is actually the 4th time using this trailer. But it was the first time I used it in the wet rain. But I know that the shifter lock should release it from getting out of park. After I pulled that cover off and tried to depress it it would not even depressed. While holding the brake and pushing that lever along with trying to move the gear shifter it wouldn't budge at all, any ideas to why the shift release lock would not work?
