My truck is a few yrs old, plus I do smoke in it at times.

Anyone used a carpet machine (like you can rent at the store) to clean the seats and carpet? I don't have rugs in my house so I don't want to dish out the cash to buy one.

If your goal is to just "clean the seats," then you can usually rent the upholstery attachments with the carpet machines (they'll charge a little extra). But if you're wanting to remove the smoke smell, then you'll need something heavier duty like a steam extractor.

Not too concerned about the smell per se, just that it is a little dirty inside. I got the truck 4 yrs ago and got the Weathertech liners, but would like to clean the seats. That and my wife's Rav4 is a 2005 and she is a slob.

Lol gotcha. I just just at the store yesterday and saw the Rug Doctors for rent, and they had the upholstery attachments in a bag, but forgot to check how much extra they charged.

I worked as acleaner in college. We had a carpet machine in a van and when I helped my boss do a job we would clean my car afterwards. Thinking this will be anice afternoon job whenthe weather improves
