Did OP mention they advertised it as a TRD OR, or did he just say that the stickers were already on there? Big difference.

They don't really advertise. It's more of a mechanic shop that sells cars. I drive by them almost every day and saw this truck one day. They did tell me it was a TRD. They are good people. They have always treated me well. Live and learn. Caveat emptor.

Well if they told you it was a Trd,and its not then that's on them, but what about the false engine description is that a MISTAKE by them also, they lied too you plain and simple.Word of mouth means nothing in court, its what the paperwork read's that you signed.
But if you are happy with the truck, then drive it and move on.

Or they just didn't know any better. The guy said himself that he doesn't know Toyota's all too well, so he probably just saw the sticker, and assumed it's a TRD Offroad. Was he right in this assumption? No. Should he have done some homework to verify it was an OR? Probably. Did he say this maliciously to jack up the price? Not one bit.

The sellers are responsible for accurately describing what they are selling whether they know anything about a Trd or not, also the O.P said the seller is mostly a auto repair shop, yet they don't know the difference between a 4 cyl and a 6 cyl motor ?
