On the highway with the AC on, I'm not seeing any major loss in fuel economy. I haven't had to run it yet this year but from what I remember from last year - it was maybe a 5% loss at the very most. BTW mine is a four wheel drive with BFG KO2s (not sure if I mentioned it yet).

3.4 v6, usually around 15 in town, 15-20+ on the highway depending on wind, speed, etc. Got 22 on a tank going 55 on flat-ish terrain, probably a little tail wind. 14.5 one tank on the interstate driving into a hard wind doing 80.

2000, v6, manual, 4x4 w/shell, 31's. I'm using a app to track mileage for over a year, 17.5 to 18 mpg pretty much split city and highway. AFE air filter and synthetic oil and I'm pretty easy on the gas pedal, coast when I can.

I probably should not even worry about turning it up since I'm getting around 18-19 145 k. Bought it January 2015 had 113k. Called the dealerships in everything for record there was no record of a tune-up not sure if they did one or not

Aside from a basic tune up, tire pressure is the next important part of the gas mileage equation IMO. Just last week after cleaning the MAF, throttle body and inflating the tires to proper psi, I'm getting a bit better gas mileage based on the Fuelly app.

I run 38 on all four. I used to run 40 on stock size Firestone and didn't even bother me it was a little stiffer.

I'm running more pressure in the front as it has more weight from the engine. There is a thread on this site to determine optimum tire pressure by marking the tread of the tires with a crayon or pen which is a visual marker to see if the tire is over inflated or under...

Was Golden State, now Poland EU
    Vehicle:
    1995 4x4 LX Ext Cab, I4 2.7, MT, 335K miles
DD Deck+backup camera, LED DRL, All LED except H4 Hella
After 302k miles my truck started to take less and less gas. It was 25mpg when I decided to fix that blown gasket. Because the small amount of water was going into cylinder #1, ECU was leaning the mixture to compensate. NO went through the roof (over 600 PPM). That was not healthy.
After all top gaskets replacement and cleanup to all intake side (including injectors and fuel filter) the numbers wen down but gas mileage dropped to normal 19mph I always had.

if you're getting 18-19 then it's fine, leave it alone

You should have a logged maintenance history of the truck, if you don't you should start. If you have 113k on it, I'd bet that you need some of the fluids changed out. (Transmission, clutch, brakes)

Oh I have that for all of my vehicles lol. I started it for the Taco when I bought it in Jan 2015. Yeah I agree about the fluids and going to that sometime soon. I did order the NGK plugs, boots, and wires but I'm not going to mess with it until I notice it's starting to need to be tuned up
