I have 4 external relayed accessories I have plans to connect to carling switches in the dash. Instead of making 4 separate wires run through the firewall, is there any risk or downside to using an 18-4 wire so I only have to run a single (bigger) wire through once to make for a cleaner look?

I figure if i disconnect an accessory, i could just cap off one of the unused leads.

    example:

    What am I missing?

That is one way to do it. Don't see anything wrong with that.

Edit: failed at reading. Sensor wire is fine for feeding relays.

    Perfect. Nice writeup.

I'm using a multi conductor cable to my switch and to my roof too. (through an access hole I drilled under my factory rack)
They are more convenient to route rather than multiple single conductors and the plastic conduit.

I have a manual and there is a convenient plug through the firewall on the passenger side.
