Spacers got rid of your rubbing? How long have you had spacers on there and has the truck seen much travel? Sorry for all the questions:oops:

Why not just get a little choppy with your fenders and the cab mount chop like most people do

That's what I plan on doing but I just wanted to hear from someone first hand with spacers. I've already seen a post with someone who had to replace their bearings which they suspected the spacers to be the culprit. Don't think they would work for me due to me traveling but they give the truck a beautiful stance to it!

when the 2005 tacos came out, folks were trying to put that wheel on them and they didn't clear. 4WP made it a standard response that they wouldn't fit on any tacoma so they wouldn't have to deal with returns and cancellations. Guys were going in trying to order the D windows and when told they wouldn't fit a first gen, couple of them showed pics of my truck with them and 4WP told them that "the tire company must have put spacers on his truck without telling him."

    What a crock... hahaha

i eventually sent folks to America's Tire to buy the wheels there. their brand is called Unique. they are also pretty good about letting you test fit before you commit to buying a full set. at least back in the day they let us do that.

Exactly what I was going to suggest, I have an old wheelers steel wheel but looked around and looks like they are not selling them anymore

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.

I ran the 16x7 OEM spare steelies w/ 4.5 BS for years while on 33's and w/ 231mm Tundra brake up-grade. I did have a 1" aluminum spacer and longer wheel studs. No issues whatsoever and no rubbing. Pinch weld mod was never an issue either. All of this while IFS. Now with a 3 link SAS, I no longer have the spacers as I have a Diamond axle built to 62" WMS.
