    So I just went to measure the remaining thread. Looks like about 2" still remain. I don't have any extra weight on the front though.

    Thanks. Yeah I think the max is like 2.14" or something of exposed thread up top. I'll go close to it, but not really necessary to get that full 3" for me. I have stock wheels/tires like you too...time to get new shoes asap.

    Why don't you get the TRD of Road 4x4 tires. Goodyear's Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar® tires in size P265/70R16. That's what I have and I went Off Roading and I loved it.

    I have 5 of those tires for sale.10k miles on them. One is brand new on the spare rim. I don't know how selling stuff on tacomaworld works so I haven't mentioned it before
