Thanks for all the input, we'll see what happens!

Sounds like the short bed may work, just need to fit my surfboards in it and I'd probably end up getting a shell down the line anyways.

Ok, looking for expert opinions and or advice. Looking at an 06 TRD OR DCSB w/153K miles on it for $15,500.00. What are issues with 06 models, is this mileage too high for the price? Truck is in good condition, has a camper shell as well.

    Thanks in advance.

Yes, they got to 20,800 OTD but I held off. I've had a black truck before and really didn't want black again. They did get desperate as they had it on the lot for almost 2 months.....

Yeah gotcha on the black. Tough color to maintain, but best color when cleaned and waxed! Do you think you will ever need 4X4? Plenty of guys on here who dont need it, but some who have regretted not buying it initially.

I do agree with you on the Black, great when cleaned up and ready....I previously had a Black 4X4 Nissan Titan and didn't use it once when in Southern California. Moved to CO and utilized the 4X4 often, but I'm back in CA now so most likely no need....

Meh. I got one with 50k miles that was supercharged. I think you can do better.

Always buy the last years of a generation, never the first. Especially if the new generation comes with a new drivetrain. If your the type of person that needs to have the latest and greatest tech or the newest car, Lease.

I just got my 2012 DCSB TX Baja with 21k for $26.5. Thought hard about buying a 17 OR because I really wanted a manual and could not find a decent manual truck in a 100 mile radius. I settled with a used auto truck and in a couple years when I am closing in on 200k I'll be much happier with the proven design and the lower payment.
