    Hey,

I'm selling my 2002 Tacoma Ext. Cab. TRD Off-Road. It is 4wd, Auto, with the V6 3.4L. It is Limited, with the grey interior, color-match camper top, and also has a Factory Sunroof. The mileage is currently 270,XXX and goes up as I drive often. I'm the third owner. Don't let the mileage scare you, I've done a ton of work to it and it runs excellent. Asking Price $8,500 OBO

    Backstory:
Truck was bought new in Asheville, NC. Owner 1 owned the truck for 14 years and put roughly 255k miles on the truck. Owner 2 (NC) bought the truck in Aug '16 and put roughly 10k miles on the truck before the driver's side head gasket blew. He took to mechanic who fixed the HG, but the truck began overheating. Guy couldn't figure out why and mechanic wouldn't help, so he decided to sell. I bought the truck, and found that the mechanic swapped the head gaskets and caused the thermostat to not get hot coolant, so it wouldn't open, which led to overheating. So I tore the top-end down and replaced everything I came to. Here is the list of repairs all which have been done in the last 4k miles

    List of Repairs/Maintenance
    Driver's side rebuilt head
    Head Gaskets - FelPro MLS
    Valve cover gaskets
    Intake Manifold gaskets
    Exhaust Gaskets
    6 Fuel Injectors/Fuel Filter (Denso)
    Radiator/Hoses
    Fan Clutch
    Timing Belt/Pulleys/Water Pump/Tensioner (Gates)
    3 Drive Belts
    Spark Plugs
Transfer case replaced with one at 135k miles
TCase, Rear Diff, Front Diff fluid replaced with Redline Gear Oil - Synthetic

A/C wasn't working when I bought it, so I replaced all components
(Denso Compressor, Condensor, Evap, Exp. Valve, Dryer, Hoses)
A/C recharged by Toyota - Blows cold as ice

Front and Rear Brakes (Pads, Rotors, Drums, Shoes)
    Front Shocks - Monroe 171352L + 171352R - TRD O/R 4WD
    Rear Shocks - KYB GR-2
Sway Bar and Steering Rack Bushings (Energy Suspension)
Less than 1k Miles - Toyo Open Country AT2 265/70/R16
Pioneer AVH-X4800BS Touchscreen with BT for phone

Did steering column slip joint fix

    Few other details:
Exterior paint is 9/10. It was repainted recently, not exactly sure when
Exterior plastic shows some wear, some of the rubber around fender lips is loose
Front bumper is new chrome, plastic grille is faded
Frame has minor surface rust, but is in great shape as the truck has always been in NC/TN.
Interior 7/10 - Drivers seat has a small hole in the bolster, truck does have 270k on it afterall
Engine runs perfect and transmission shifts smooth. I've put close to 4,000 miles on the truck since all the repairs and I don't notice any oil consumption or leaks.

    Negatives:

Seems to be very small drip of oil, cant tell if its PS or Engine. It seems watery, so its like the A/C drain line is dripping on the engine and causing an oily/watery drip and not actual leaking. Engine bottom was covered in oil from leaking valve covers, so there's no shortage of old oil.

Small use of coolant - about a cup every 1000 miles. Its definitely not the HG, no bubbles in rad, no leaks I can see, and plugs are not steam cleaned. I think its the coolant pipe under the intake manifold. I should have checked the seals when I was in there, but that's an oversight. I could tear it down to fix, but for now, its just easier to top off every few gas fill-ups.

Truck shakes at 60+. My bet is tire-balancing. I've gone to NTB multiple times to balance, and it still wont stop. No play in wheel at 3/9 or 6/12, so bearings, ball joints, tie rods are good. I think tires just may need to be road-force balanced.

I've tried to be honest to best of my knowledge. Any questions, feel free to ask. Would possibly consider taking a road trip/vacation to meet right buyer. Could also drive to Nashville/Atlanta if you consider flying in and driving back.

SUMMARY: HIGH MILEAGE TRUCK, TONS OF RECENT MAINTENANCE, SOUTHERN TRUCK

Reason for selling: Moving for new job, and can't afford a payment with a new house and don't need the extra vehicle. Asking Price $8,500 OBO

PICTURES: Will post more soon, just some pics I had ATM. Wheels have been plasti-dipped Graphite, but can just be pulled off. (not shown in pics)
