Zombie Apocalypse Show isn't Real Enough (The Walking Dead on AMC)

Could not agree more. Remember when zombies were actually a "thing" in Walking Dead?

Its still a fun series but not even in my Top 5 anymore. Series took a huge dive south shortly after the prison season.


Gone are the good old days of:
The unknown: lost, where do they go? Running through Atlanta, running through the forests, starving, the RV gang, losing Carol's daughter (and actually looking for her), characters not trusting each other, Daryl getting shot on accident (this needs to happen more), death by sickness in the prison, everyday problems at the prison (fence repair, clearing cell blocks), the Wolves, cutting off Hershel's leg to prevent turning, small scared group of people in the forests, the shacks, the railroad tracks, TERMINUS!, Hershels secret in the barn, the Governor and his state of mind (though it got long), RV constantly breaking down or running dry on gas, CDC in Atlanta's secret, etc. TERMINUS!, getting separated for long periods of time, Carol taking care of business.. a LOT of business: that crazy bitch kid, breaking them out of Terminus, going solo, a zombie attack actually meant danger, Rick chowing down on that guy's neck who wanted to rape/kill Carl/Michonne (sp), leaving that poor dude who was sick at the side of the road (1st season), Rick kicking ass.


WTF Moments
Morgan losing his mind like most of us would after losing his wife and son in a horrific manner. Now he is a peaceful Ninjago after a week with some monk. Stupid.
Rick kicking ass. Then not. Then playing house in Alexandria. Then inexplicably getting with Michonne (sp). Then kicking ass. Then getting outfoxed.. again.
Carol a victim of domestic violence, losing her daughter in the best twist ever, kicking ass. Then not. Then playing house. By herself. Reading a book.
Michonne (sp) with a wicked backstory, kicking ass. Then not. Then a cop for Alexandria. Then not. Then getting with Rick. Then getting beat down by one chick.
Zombie attacks being a "thing"? How about Negan ever contemplating the "communities" ganging up on him...lol. Don't you think that might be a "thing"? All the bad plans by Rick that seem to end in sheer disaster, crazy-ass communities (but more on that later) and anything CGI! LOL! deer on a carnival ride anyone? Video taping of Alexandria entrants when they arrived...for what? That could have been cool but..nothing. And me not being able to caring how to spell Michonne (sp)


Now:
A fucking tiger that attacks only bad guys.
Dumb ass dumpster divers that cant put two words together. Apparently they all got a deal on black clothes. But they still outfoxed Rick, shocking. that was telegraphed.
A medieval "king" of the Kingdom. WTF? Zombies everywhere, the world running down, armed fuckers everywhere and this guy is on a stage spouting Shakespeare. Whats worse is everyone inside is OK WITH IT! LOL.
Community of all chicks with guns. We just kill all men, period. Well Negan has some badass chicks too. Very smart policy this, how did letting Tara go work out?
Did I mention a fucking tiger that attacks only the bad guys?
Alexandria season flat sucked. This is where it turned into a soap opera with dead folks walking around. Must have changed writers here.
Cant these fuckers just straight up leave? I mean, get a god damn car/van and get the fuck out. Go back to Atlanta.
Judith who apparently is doing just fine with no 24/7 supervision in this zombie world
Are we saying no one would be committing suicide at this point? How about a slip and fall useless death in this apocalypse world? Tara anyone?
Did you realize we have a god damn tiger that only seems to eat bad guys? (but I liked his grand entrance in the finale, gotta say. But of course no one shot the fucking TIGER!


Characters who have actually kept true to form:
Eugene: hes a mealy mouth survivor that does what he needs to survive. He'll turn back to Team Rick though as he should. But at least his character is logical.
Abraham: dead but never deviated from kicking ass, shagging ass and the famous one liners "Who's Deanna!?"
Maggie: farm girl turned widow and now pregnant. kicking ass and at least can lead from the front in this world. Her character has evolved well I think.
Daryl: pretty close to where he should be. some BS moments but overall a good character
Hershel: my personal fave.
Gregory: weasel leader of the Hilltop. What a bastard but at least hes not transformed by a monk whipping around a stick.
Negan: so far, so good. But just wait, there will be another reason to keep him alive. This war might go on for 2 seasons at this pace.
Judith: she's just a 2 year old being a cute 2 year old. Might be smarter than Rick.
Rick: up until Alexandria Rick was awesome. Losing his wife, losing his mind at the prison (remember the "phone calls" with the broken phone), leading the team, speech before they find the prison "this is not a democracy!"struggling with his bitch wife cheating on him as she's running about the farm hanging clothes, etc. After Alexandria, Rick removed his own testicles and buried them near that Glock he ever got



Characters who suck:
Morgan (see above). Damn I liked him too. He needed to be a straight up nutjob that could blow at any moment and jeopardize the team. Remember when Rick found him after the first episode. Dude was nuts and THAT WAS LOGICAL in this world. Morgan is unwatchable now.
Rosita: hot but useless. Needs to be on a Novella.
Tara: not hot and useless. Needs to die soon.
Glenn: needed to die. we don't need a guy running after other guys who don't like us like a zombie obstacle course. Great death, sufficiently sad for Maggie.
Dwight: kill that fucker.
Dale: The guy who owned the RV: quit trying to save the hot blonde chick!
Carl: was cute kid, then a dark kid. then just a kid. then cared about some kid who didn't like him, kid shot his eye out, had a chance to kill Negan 18 times and didn't. And still wearing that fucking hat.

Damn, I'm bored at work. I'm sure there is more but my dumbass boss is calling. Fuck!

A lot of people were pissed off about last season due to the slow pace. From what I heard next season will have a much quicker pace.
