Black trucks are a cruel joke. I'll buy any color as long as it's silver.

I have had white and silver Tacoma's. Wanted to get one of the last 2nd gens. Wanted a little to long, didn't have much to choose from. Sales guy said the only thing he could get me was a black one with the configuration I wanted. I said no way, anything but black. Long story short, he knocked off almost 5 grand. I love my truck, love the color, pain to keep clean.

Black truck ownership is a lifestyle and definately not suited to a lazy bastard like me.

10 weeks without a wash and covered in pollen when it finally rained.downloadfile.jpg

Good to go for another 10 weeks.

I have a black truck with 470,000 km on it. When it's dry the paint shows it's wear...

But you put her in the rain and it all disappears. :D

We never get manual trans Tacos here in the gulf states. I was getting closer to purchase time, after looking for months. My sales guy knew how much I wanted a manual. One day he called me and told me it was my lucky day. Said because an order was messed up, they received a manual. I left work and headed to the dealership thinking I'm about to get my new truck. When I get there, he points me to it. Black! Oh no :(
    Any color but black :(
That was a heart breaker. I did throw out a low ball offer. I can deal with black if the price is right....
Well, he did me a favor and turned down my low offer.
In the end, I had to go 600 miles away to get my manual. And it's white (my 3rd color of choice)
