So I'm in the middle of getting the 3rd gen EZView mirrors rolling for you guys and I have a few questions that we need to discuss.

Here's the first; what models come with the blind spot monitors?

The 2016+ EZView mirrors are going to be an all in one package, so I want to be sure that I cover all the bases. Such as heat, blind spot monitor, symbol in the glass, etc.

That brings me to another question. Basically I can etch whatever image I want for the BSM. Should I stick with the OEM BSM symbol, or do we need to "improve" it?

Limited and TRD pro have BSM standard.
TRD Off-Road and TRD Sport with Tech package also have BSM standard.

I wouldn't mind something humorous to replace the default icon. Or something different... TRD)))car, Toyota logo)))car, Big tyre)))car, etc

Well, I was thinking something more universally acceptable...

    Glad to hear it!

Roger that, thanks for the info. The symbol will be in the glass for all models, it just won't light up if you don't have the indicator light. It shouldn't be visible when not lit.

All valid ideas. If we can put anything there we might as well have a little fun with it.

Yup, that one already crossed my mind.

    But you have a point.

You forgot the "acceptable" part. I hate politically and socially correct crap, but I do have to consider the children.

Maybe I can get a small batch of middle finger mirrors made up for the deplorables. :D

Count me in for a "G" rated version (my Grandchildren already ask too many questions). I traded my 2012 Taco to get
the BSM feature due to my severely arthritic neck. Your mirrors will be icing on the cake! Can hardly wait to learn that
you have gone into production. will the price remain at $45 - $60 and are you taking pre-orders?

G-rated/OEM is probably the best option for the BSM indicator.

The price will be higher than the current Tacoma mirrors for a couple of reasons. The 2016+ will be a complete unit in that the mirror, defrost film, and backing plate will come to you already assembled. You'll just pop out the old backing plate and put the new EZView in its place. I don't have the pricing sorted out, but it won't be too much more than a set of mirrors and defrost films.

    Thanks for your interest.

So we're talking about $80 (+/-), well you can still count me in!

I don't want to get into pricing too much, but the individual components that I already have shouldn't change in price. The addition of the backing plate and etching will add a bit, but not a huge jump. The price will be well worth it considering you won't have to take apart your mirrors to make these work.

I'm still getting quotes on the backing plates. The 2016 is a completely different mount than 2nd gen, but I may have found an off the shelf solution.
