Installed the Ultra Flex today and was super easy and looks great.

Things I like about the Ultra Flex:

-Matte Finish and looks more quality than the regular Flex when I compared in the store
-open and close the tailgate without having to lift the last section of cover
    -5 year warranty
-comes with carpet under side of panels
    -30% more durable than others
-comes with luggage bag and LED lights
    -solid construction and better seals

I was able to get it for $865 shipped

looks good. was it difficult running the drain tube? That is the only thing that has stopped me from getting one of these. I prefer the ones that are mounted on the rail to stop water before it gets to the cover like the OEM cover and the foldacover

There are already 1/4" holes up front in the bed so I am just going to get a couple plastic adapters from Lowes for a couple dollars to avoid having to make the holes larger. Should be simple, I will post pics but haven't gone to Lowes yet.

One other thing good about this is you don't have to remove the existing bed rails!!!

Hey man, wanted some advice since you got the undercover flex

I've been researching Bed Covers for a long time before i pulled the trigger. i need a bedcover that works well with a Dirtbike... i liked the Revolver X2 but it protrudes too much with our short bed to comfortably fit a bike...

From what i see to remove this cover to fit a dirtbike lets say, there are 2 thumbscrews at the front end driver and passenger side correct?
so in theory i could unscrew them with my hands and set the cover down next to the bike in the bed with the tire up against the front of the bed, then when the bike is out, rescrew in the cover with my hands and lock valuables in the bed with the cover closed?

also i like that we get to keep the bed rails to use the toyota tie down's that slide around and you can open and close the tailgate without lifting the last part of the cover.

Finally, the end piece near the tailgate is hard metal correct? so you couldnt really fit a coat hanger or something in there to pull down the cable to open the cover?

    Thanks man!

Are the rails still usable? if so can you post a pic? I was just about to pull the trigger on a BAK MX4 but this cover looks just as good.

Just to be sure. I have the Ultra Flex not too sure if your looking for info on the Flex.

But yes to remove its two thumb screws to remove. Also the end piece by the tailgate is hard so it more durable against people trying to jam something under it. Hope that helps.

I had one of these covers and in my opinion it is the best on the market. You can still use the bed rails but you will have to remove the factory hold downs when the cover is down. When you fold it up you have full use of your bed and it has polls to latch it upright to keep it off of your cab unlike the Bakflip models. You can remove the thing in less than 5 min and it goes back on just as quick. Overall if you want a bed cover this is the one to get! The only reason I sold mine was because I wanted a toolbox.

how waterproof/watertight is this cover? does it leak as bad people have mentioned in the MX4 thread? i was set on the getting the MX4 and doing some of the sealant mods, but if one has "new seals" and works better, i'd probably have another look at this one.

I didn't really have a problem with the one I had leaking but I am in a somewhat dry climate and really didn't carry stuff in the back I cared about getting wet. I never really noticed water in the bed when I looked though. And I didn't install the drain hose or anything either.

You and I are in exactly the same place. If the Undercover Ultra still allows use of the rail system and has better water resistance I would go with it in a heartbeat. I was literally about to call around for pricing on the MX4 yesterday when I saw this thread. I wasn't thrilled about the sealant I'd have to use but the cover checked all the other boxes I was looking for so it was something I could live with.

JJ, are you still driving the 2011 or did you have the cover on a 3rd gen?

Glad you like it OP! However, several stated you could still use the bed rails? Either I installed mine wrong, or that isn't a true statement. I mounted mine to the existing rails, but they are now completely covered by the hardware.

I have the Flex for a year now. I would sell it for 300 if someone wants it, picked up local. I just ordered a cap.

Thanks for chiming in! I was wondering, especially since the page on autoanything says it may impeded the rails. I was really planning on pulling the trigger on a cover this week but I may wait a bit to see if others confirm. The MX4 wasn't a horrible option but I'm not thrilled about having to manually seal the rails to keep the bed dry'ish.

I was under the impression that message on autoanything indicating that meant you can't have the removable bed tie downs in the rails while the cover was on, but when the cover was taken off it would allow a tie down to fit in the rail.
Does the ultra flex rail you installed completely cover the factory bed rail?
When the cover is off ofcourse.
