If you really want black Off Road style fender flares but don't wanna spend the money on em.... Plasti dip works pretty good as an alternative.
Would recommend some new clips for sure before you start the project. Pretty easy to remove but the clips can be brittle. I ordered a bag of each color clip from Amazon for about $15.
After 4 cans of dip and some drying

Just watch out when you're fueling up, anything that drips on the plasti dip will never look the same.

I tried that 1st but didn't like the edges when peeled away. I wanted to dip to carry over the edge of the flare.

Those look great! The one thing I found out with my old car is that if you don't maintain the dip it will start to chip and peel in those areas leading you to peel everything and reapply. It became a pain for me later on. I decided to use bedliner on mine and knock the texture down with 400 grit sandpaper to help get rid of scratches I made.

How exactly did they come off? I'm wanting to remove mine to dip and haven't been able to find anyone who said how they come off. I know they have the bolts and clips but where are the clips and how hard to take off without breaking? Thanks!

Also, you have a link to where you bought those clips? Or a picture so I know what to look for? I know I'm asking a lot of questions, sorry.

Hey! Looks good. Question, when you spray and then peel the excess, do you have to use a razor to get a perfect peel line or will it just want to break off at the flare lines? Or any tips for getting a clean line around the flare without having to fully peel and redo?
Thanks! Feeling inspired to get her done!

Peel with your finger... And any excess use a cloth. Super easy peasy if you have a good 5-7 coats

So what you are sayin is that when you peel with your finger and it gets to the flare, it will just rip around the flare shape without cutting it? Or will it continue to want to peel over the flare?

Like you were saying it will stop at the flare on it's own.

Haven’t had time yet but I’m real real close. My list of things to do is; flares, rear bumper caps, front bumper cover, possibly the whole thing possibly just the lower middle. Grille either paint or plasti have t decided. ANd install my AVS rain guards and rek Gen mud flaps.
