Alright, my temp display would read momentarily, then start dropping for a few numbers and then three dash. Continuously. So I did the fix, same issue. Sent it out, where they replaced the resistors, plugged it in, same issue.
Where does this thing ultimately plug into a sensor?

    Do they typically fail?
Is the part number on it?
And how on God's green earth do I get the connector apart?

Have you been trying to just redo the solder joints? Best results come from replacing the resistors altogether and using a good solder.

Brother, do yourself a favor and get the 51 ohm resistors shown on post #1900. I did what you did 3x and I was as happy as to when I lost my virginity. Go to fleabay and you can get them there. One 10 pc pack for 2 dollah. Will last you a long time.

Normal. Part of the manufacturing process or something like that from what I remember seeing.

Alright, so I sent mine out. And then I replaced the sensor, and still no dice. It will throw up erroneous temperatures, drop a degree , drop a degree, drop a degree, and then three dashes.
    What is next?

Just curious guys if it could be something else. I've experienced the same problem. The compass portion works fine but the temp keeps counting down and then displays 3 dashes. I assumed it was either the thermistor (which I've replaced) or the resistors, however just for fun I hooked up my display to a friends Tacoma and everything worked fine.

    Any thoughts???
