Has anyone had an actual trans failure?

    Damn! Good for you, I have gotten 20mpgs a couple times but mostly sit around 19, I blame DC traffic.

    All I can say is that I have had my truck for almost 1.5 years now and after the tranny being filled to spec and both TSB updates. The Rev 1 TSB really made the difference.

    I also got an extended warranty out of all of this. It was frustrating but the truck has had 2k miles on the Rev 1 TSB and still drives like it should have.

    Sorry - No vehicle should ever bog down. My 2010 F150 was Fords 1st year 6 speed. Yeah it shifted a lot. Of course it would. It has 50% more gears. But shift points were 10 X better than my 17 Sport. I feel the motor tuning is an issue also. Throttle pressure is way off. Like others; I can live with the bump, lunge and surge.
