Just wondering what security systems are people using on their Tacomas, the factory system is obviously not adequate enough.
Could you please post what you have, features, cost, effectiveness, what you like and don't like about them
    Thanks

Security systems keep honest people honest. Spending more might make you feel better but if a thief really wants your vehicle and/or items they are going to get it, one way or another. What makes you think the alarm system on the truck isn't enough?

I'm thinking a very large dog would work for security purposes. LOL. I thought it has a security system built in...

Because my truck just got vandalized just to steal the Pro grill and the stock alarm didn't go off because it doesn't have motion detention

I have a viper 5303v in my car. Seems to work just fine, and you can add a couple extra sensors if you like. It comes with a basic shock sensor, so if your truck is bumped, the alarm will go off. It cost me $550 installed, but this was in my Subaru which requires an extra $100 module since it's push to start.
