Do they make a blackout overlay kit for a 2008 Tacoma?

Plasidip shines when used for things like badges. Won't regret it.

I am just scared that I will mess up with the replacement of the badges, or a bad looking paint job.

It's easy. Get painters tape. News paper...a tooth pick... 2 cans of your plasidip... and watch a YouTube video. Follow the timeline and you will be fine

Yep. There is tacoma specific videos. Just paint inside Whole taped off window. When all is done the plasidip will peel off truck paint no problem

I hate plastidip for almost all applications, however plastidipping my door badges was the best thing I ever did.

Super easy and here at 2.5 yrs after initially doing it, it's still holding up!

Albeit it has faded to a matte black just because of sun.

I never scrub it during washes or anything either.

Thanks JdevTac. I was wondering how it would hold up. 2.5 yrs that's pretty good.

Mine is peeling after two years, but for $5 a rattle can, who cares? Just peel it off, clean, and reapply. Done and done.

Just take the badges off, paint then reinstall. Super easy and no taping off

This is what I did. Pretty simple and you can do it over a weekend. Take them off, rough them up with some grit paper, replace the backing with heavy duty outdoor mounting tape, then spray multiple coats.

Painting my badges was the first thing I did. I went with a metallic gunmetal and have kept the theme throughout the truck.

Derping is probably easier, and you can always go right back to stock if you need/want.
