    4 cyl = fail

    When I'm towing something or have a heavy payload, even my 6 banger feels underpowered. With a 4 cyl, you'll probably go backwards while towing.

    My 99 2.7 4x4 5sp towed 3500 # camper, had to use 3rd on a few hills on the high way but it did ok in the mountains in NH and ME
