Concur...I guess it's like having 4wd. You don't always need it, but it's there when you do .. it's just another utility and enhancement for your toolbox ☺

This that and the other thing.
I definitely agree with @Skrain that extra strength to the tailgate is a valid point and those Mobtown upgrades are on my long list of mods to be done haha but I am interested for the same reasons that @squint0241 mentioned about the odd home depot trip, plus at this point I don't have a utility trailer to use. but again the regular price of these things is kind of pricey for just using it now and then so if we could get a decent group buy price, then I might be able to justify the purchase.

I noticed in the video the guy forcing the tailgate against the tire of the dirt bike to hold it in place before engaging the latches . Wouldn't really want to do that with the stock plastic inner skin on a taco...

yeah I never thought of that to be honest and I do tend to agree with you on that note. I would mostly be using it for lets say, loading up some 2x4's which stick out the back, I could lift up the tailgate halfway to keep if from bouncing, help secure them up and still manage to keep my tonneau cover closed. This mod isn't high on my list seeing as I wouldn't use it all that often, but for the right price I could be persuaded into buying it haha I'm hoping that when I buy an atv or a snowmobile I would have a trailer to tow them with haha but time will tell I suppose.
